Grizzly Griptape was founded by pro skateboarder Torey Pudwill during his teenage years. In the beginning Torey punched the bears out of the griptapes by hand and sold them in skateparks. The OG Bear Grip is still around today, but they are now die-cut by machine and Torey didn't have to do it himself in a long time.
Grizzly produces high quality silicate skateboard griptape in various grits, from smooth to rough. The standard grip has a so-called 70 grit, which provides optimum grip without being too coarse or fine. Of course, all Grizzly Griptapes meet high quality standards. With an incredible selection of designs and variations, Grizzly has revolutionized the grip tape market.
Grizzly is especially known for colorful printed griptapes and pro grips by Torey Pudwill, Leticia Bufoni, Chris Cole, Manny Santiago, and many others.
