Real Skateboards was founded by ex Powell Pro Tommy Guerrero and Jim Thiebaud in San Francisco in 1991 and is one of the most established brands around. The thought behind the creation of Real Skateboards was to build a real skate brand where the pros have a voice in graphics, shapes, and team decisions. Thrasher Mag co-founder Fausto Vitello supported the two pros' project and Real quickly became a respected brand. Real Skateboards has maintained its founding ethos to this day, which is evident not least in the loyalty of the Real team. Real is a part of Deluxe Distribution, which also unites Spitfire Wheels, Thunder Trucks, Krooked Skateboards, Venture Trucks, There and Unity under one roof.
Real Skateboard Decks are manufactured at the renowned Generator Woodshop and guarantee quality and long-lasting pop. The Oval logo is especially popular and featured on numerous Real products. In addition to decks, the company also produces a small streetwear range, including hoodies, shirts, beanies and caps.
The Real Skateboards team is one of the best teams around with members like Ishod Wair, Dennis Busenitz, Kyle Walker, Jack Olson, Mason Silva, Dan Mancina or Zion Wright, which is also clearly shown in the numerous video productions. The social commitment of Real Skateboards is also definitely worth mentioning.
