Robotron
Robotron Skateboards was founded in Cologne in 2000 – back then under the name "Sleibnir Skateboarding". For six years, Sleibnir stood for fun in skateboarding and unusual graphics, such as coloring book decks with shrink-wrapped crayons. In 2006, the "Robo" took over: the brand was renamed Robotron and steered into unprecedented dimensions. The company was founded by Martin Dockenfuß and Martin Propfe.
To this day, Robotron is one of the small, likeable German brands that place great value on humor and a strong team, without taking themselves too seriously. The graphics are colorful, playful and often come with a wink – the eponymous robot character "Robo" appears again and again in different variations. In addition to decks, Robotron also offers wheels, clothing and other accessories, all at a fair price-performance ratio.
The brand's team is down-to-earth and deeply rooted in the German skate scene, with riders you can find at pretty much any spot in the country. That's exactly what makes Robotron stand out: not a big marketing machine, but a brand made by and for the scene.
