Robotron
Robotron Skateboards wurde im Jahr 2000 in Köln gegründet - damals noch unter dem Namen "Sleibnir Skateboarding". Sechs Jahre lang stand Sleibnir für Spaß am Skaten und ausgefallene Grafiken, etwa Malbuch-Decks mit eingeschweißten Wachsmalstiften. 2006 übernahm dann der "Robo" das Ruder: Die Marke wurde in Robotron umbenannt und in bis dahin unerreichte Dimensionen gesteuert. Gegründet wurde die Company von Martin Dockenfuß und Martin Propfe.
Robotron ist bis heute eine der kleinen, sympathischen deutschen Marken, die viel Wert auf Humor und ein starkes Team legen, ohne sich dabei selbst zu ernst zu nehmen. Die Grafiken sind bunt, verspielt und oft mit einem Augenzwinkern versehen - der namensgebende Roboter-Charakter "Robo" taucht dabei immer wieder in unterschiedlichen Variationen auf. Neben Decks bietet Robotron auch Rollen, Kleidung und weiteres Zubehör an, alles zu einem fairen Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.
Das Team der Marke ist bodenständig und tief in der deutschen Skate-Szene verwurzelt, mit Fahrern, die man auf so ziemlich jedem Spot im Land antreffen kann. Genau das macht Robotron aus: keine große Marketingmaschine, sondern eine Marke, die von und für die Szene gemacht wird.
