Metal Skateboards was founded in 1994 by Lou Metal with the help of Chris Carter and DNA Distribution, then the company behind Alien Workshop and Habitat Skateboards.
What was initially intended as a video project by the skate crews from New Jersey and Philadelphia became reality overnight due to the great demand. Metal signaled the lifestyle of the team riders and so the name said it all.
The current Metal Skateboards team consists of co-founder Fred Gall, as well as Ben Raybourn, Richie Blackshaw, Donny Binaco.
Metal produces its decks at BBS/Generator in Mexico and therefore stands for the highest quality. In addition to standard popsicle skateboard decks, Metal offers a variety of shaped decks, from classic old school shapes to egg shapes, footballs, full and square nose decks, there is something for every skateboarder.
