Satori Wheels was founded in 1998 with a vision to be a positive, sustainable brand in the skateboard wheel market.
The name Satori comes from Japanese Buddhism and means "pure consciousness".
From the very beginning, Satori's mission has been to produce its products as sustainably and resource-efficiently as possible. Research has been going on for years to find a way to recycle old skateboard wheels. Urethane, the plastic that skateboard wheels are made from, cannot be easily melted down like other plastics. After finding a way, the Satori "Relife" Wheel Program was born. For this purpose, old, used skateboard wheels are collected in skate shops in the USA, which are then recycled into new Satori Relife Wheels. Relife reels contain 60% recycled wheels.
In addition to the Relife program, Satori has also found a way to produce their urethane using vegetable hemp oil instead of traditional petroleum based oil. This protects the environment without affecting the quality of the wheels.
The product range includes a large selection of wheels for every application. In addition to soft cruiser wheels, there are wheels with a diameter of 50 to 60 millimeters, from classic, round shapes to conicals. From the super soft 78A to the extra hard 84B or 104A wheels, everything is included.
Satori also goes its own way when it comes to streetwear and produces a large part of its collection with hemp.
